iPhone 17 Pro

Apple dropped titanium for the iPhone Pro 17 line this year in favour of a heat-forged aluminium unibody, and redesigned the back to suit it: the square camera bump is gone, replaced by a wider "camera plateau" that spans most of the top half of the phone.

From the front it's nearly identical to the 16 Pro. Colour options changed too, there's no black or grey finish for the first time, just Cosmic Orange, Deep Blue, and Silver (Apple calls them finishes, not colours). Storage starts at 256GB, up from 128GB on the 16 Pro, with 512GB and 1TB also available.

All three rear cameras are now 48MP (Fusion, Ultra Wide, and Telephoto), a first for iPhone, with the Telephoto giving 8x optical-quality zoom.

The processor is the A19 Pro chip, with a redesigned thermal system built around a vapour chamber, which Apple says gives sustained performance a real boost during longer tasks like gaming.

On the video side, it's the first phone to support Apple's own ProRes-adjacent codec pipeline aimed at professional workflows, alongside improved stabilisation
